Privacy Policy

Information you choose to provide

Getreep may store your name, home city, emergency contact name and phone number, trip itineraries, reservation details, budgets, notes, and saved map locations. If you connect Sign in with Apple, we also receive an Apple account identifier and the email address Apple chooses to share, which may be a private relay address.

How we use information

We use this information only to operate Getreep: save and synchronize your profile and trips, restore them on another iPhone, organize itinerary details, and provide requested reminders, map features, and weather information.

Weather

When you open weather, Getreep sends your current coordinates (only after you grant location permission) and your active trip destination or mapped-stop coordinates to Open-Meteo to return current weather. Getreep does not send your name, email address, or Getreep account identifier with these weather requests.

AI itinerary import

Every user receives ten AI itinerary imports per calendar month, while Getreep Plus subscribers receive a higher monthly allowance. When you choose AI import, text recognized from the image or document is sent through our Supabase service to OpenAI to organize it into itinerary fields. Getreep sends the recognized text, not the original image or document.

Optional AI trip planning

When you choose Plan with AI, your destination, travel dates, and the preferences you enter are sent through Supabase to OpenAI, which may search the web for place suggestions. Do not include private booking, payment, or sensitive personal information in your brief. Suggestions are not reservations. You review and select stops before adding them to an itinerary.

We store your brief, generated draft, source references, and generation metadata privately in Supabase so you can recover a draft after leaving the screen and avoid generating it twice on retry. These records are linked to your Getreep account, are not public, and are removed when that account is deleted. Provider-side response storage for later API retrieval is disabled; provider security and abuse-monitoring retention may still apply.

Optional connected email accounts

Where enabled, you can connect Google or Microsoft mailboxes separately from signing into Getreep. Providers grant read-only access to mailbox messages, not only travel emails. Getreep searches only when requested and does not send, edit, or delete emails. We receive your mailbox identifier and email address and keep encrypted connection credentials on our server, not your email password.

With your explicit AI permission, your search request and current trip name and route are sent through Supabase to OpenAI to form a limited booking search. Getreep searches only the mailboxes and email receipt-date range you select. A focused search can send up to three matching email bodies to OpenAI automatically for booking extraction; larger result sets require your selection. You review and confirm the booking details before saving. Results and email bodies are processed temporarily. We do not store a copy of your mailbox or download email attachments in this feature. Saved itinerary details follow normal trip-data retention. AI response storage for later API retrieval is disabled, but service providers may retain data under their security, abuse-monitoring, backup, and other applicable retention policies; this is not a zero-retention service.

Currency conversion estimates

For automatic budget conversion, Getreep requests public reference rates from Frankfurter. Only currency codes are included in the request, not your amounts, trips, email address or account identifier. The service and its network providers receive standard connection information such as an IP address. Rates and their dates may be cached on your device for offline planning; they are estimates, not bank or payment-card quotes.

Disconnect at Profile → Connected emails to remove stored credentials, or delete your Getreep account to remove all connections. Saved itinerary items remain after disconnect. You can also revoke access in your email provider's settings. Temporary authorization attempts expire after ten minutes and are removed by scheduled cleanup. We do not sell mailbox data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI models. Getreep's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

Photos, videos, and documents

Attached trip photos and documents remain available on your iPhone. With Getreep Plus, attached ticket images and PDFs are also uploaded to a private Supabase Storage bucket for recovery after reinstalling or changing iPhones. These files are isolated by your authenticated account and are not public.

Subscriptions

Getreep uses Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat to offer and validate Getreep Plus, restore purchases, and determine paid-feature access. We process your app account identifier, subscription product, purchase status, renewal or expiration status, and transaction identifiers for this purpose—not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Service providers

We use Apple for authentication, maps, and In-App Purchase; Supabase for authentication, cloud records, and private document storage; OpenAI for optional AI itinerary import and trip planning; Open-Meteo for weather and destination lookup; and RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management.

Retention and deletion

Cloud profile, trip, subscription-entitlement, and Plus document data are retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and cloud data inside Getreep by opening Profile → Account controls → Delete account. This also deletes private document backups and clears Getreep data from that iPhone. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage or cancel it through the App Store.

Children

Getreep is not directed to children under 13.
